A little back story for you....I met an amazing girl on Friday who is German and an aspiring author. We spoke about German literature and she mentioned that a book she loves 'perfume by Patrick Suskind' has been made into a film but she has not seen it yet. We agreed that if we can find where it is on we will go and see it together. A bit of internet research and I discovered it the film has been directed by Tom Tykwer.

I really need to find a cinema that is showing this or a place I can buy the DVD. Preferably in the London are - although we can travel.

Please help a hopeless romantic......

I am German and living in the States right now. I really want to see the movie. If I were you I would try calling a few theaters and ask if they know when it might be coming out.

okay. The book was originally written in french by Patrick Suskind and yes it is an amazing book.

The movie has been slated for release for sometime now. The latest i saw was that it was meant to be out late last month but has been held back with no word on when it will be released.
So to answer your question you cannot go see it because it hasnt come out yet.

I'm afraid you'll have to hold on a while. It 's due out December 8th. You probably won't get to see it much before then, unless you can find a German-made pirate copy.
