Half and Half - on my husband side we are close, on my father side we are close, and then there is my Mothers side. There goes the feelings of strangers with a family name. Basically I can't stand her parents (neither can either of my brothers). The why is because we have been treated like outsiders all our life while my cousins were the favorites. They made us feel like they we under duress when ever they had to watch us or support us as children, so now I don't feel any love for them at all. Sad, but true. Even sadder is that my Mom knows it, and she doesn't feel close to them either.

I'm not close to my family. Haven't spoken to them in years. They disapproved of my now husband (whom is the very best).
It is there lost not mine so I just distance myself from them. I have a wonderful family with 3 great kids. I just wish for there sake they would come around. But, I know that's not going to happen

Not close to any family members since April of this year. Im 34yrs old, married with 3 children and my family told me to choose my husband or them...Im sorry I LOVE MY HUSBAND and my children. My family had no right at all to make me choose just because THEY dont like him.

No, not really.
It's hard to explain, but I am WAY different than the rest of my family.
I listen to hiphop, where the rest of them listen to soft music. I like scary movies and thrillers/action movies, where as they like dramas. I am toned and healthy, where as they are VERY out of shape and eat very un-healthy foods.
I feel like the stork dropped me off at the wrong house! LOL... I like my family, and I get along with almost everyone, but we aren't really close to speak of.
... and thats the end of my novel lol.

Close to my children..my parents are dead..my sister ripped me off out of my inheritance.. my brothers moved away..my closest sister tells an x husband all my business and talks of sex 24/7 ..I know someone here wants her number..and ahh..my other brother crazy ..u cant turn your back to him..so my anser pretty much No..oh and my neices are drunks..and seem to be jealous of me..weird I know..

im close to everyone in my family except all the ppl on my fathers side including him. they are all drunks.
