Is a fact that steamed air or nebulized air/oxigen is useful for some lung deseases, because vapor softens the mucus and secretions attached to the bronquial and bronquiloar walls, thus helping to clear bronquiolar obstructions and allowing the respiratory mucociliar system to sweap the mucus and secretions up to the trachea and larynx to be expectorated and eliminated.

True, it can break up mucous and help you get it out of the lungs, but can't actually clean out the macrophages that take up the tar and other crap you breathe in when smoking. Nothing can, otherwise smokers wouldn't have black lungs. Stop smoking.

Well if your in a steam room where they use chemicals like chlorine to clean out the water being steamed, then its harmfull for you and your digestive system, If its all natural then it cleans out your ache, your lungs and the build up for junk in your blood.

I am not sure but, I have noticed that the hot steam going into my lungs loosens some of that stuff up making it easier to cough it out.

I don't think that it actually cleans them out, however it does open up the passages.
