and babysit my son so I can finish school. I am trying to work on my Masters, but haven't started yet because I got pregnant..I'm in no rush to get the degree because I have a great job and can wait a couple of more years ..I'm only 24 so I really don't mind. She is insiting on quitting and I really don't want her to. How do I convince her to keep working?

My job has childcare right on the facility, so I don't pay for childcare. It works out great for me..I work 7-4 have an hour lunch with my son and then get to spend the rest of the day with him and the weekends are for my son my husband and me..so in reality it's great..

Just tell her you appreciate her offer but right now your not ready to dedicate all your time to finishing school because you have other priorities.

Do you have enough money to pay for childcare? If not then there is no other option because who is going to pay bills? You need to work right? I wish my mother would watch my baby. I am having mine in march and make 1600 a month after taxes and childcare is 900 a month in pittburch so I don't know how I am going to make it. I have a masters also and make no more money than with just a bs so personally do not think it is worth it. If you are payign for your masters i would put that money towards the baby's education. If you are getting it for free then go for it. If you have to pay for it then that is not a good thing. Grad school should be free if you tried hard enough because everyschool has grad assistant programs where you work for the university and go there free. Good luck!

If she's not happy with her job, then she should quit. Not to be your babysitter full time, but to quit and find another job that she might be a little bit more satisfy with. She should start off with a part-time job and help watch your son. School is important, you can always find a great job no matter what, and if your job loves you, they'll probably consider hiring you back.

Tell her you aren't ready to start school yet and if she's insisting on quitting for you or her? It sounds like the latter is the case. If so, let her quit (after all, it's her life), and do the masters when you feel ready (after all, it's your life).

Tell her you're not going back to school just yet and if she wants to quit her job, more power to her but that's still not going to make you change your mind.

That may be hard to do unless You can make her understand that you aren't ready right now to go to school.
