I like Grade Quick. You can print out grades for individual students.

I used MicroGrade (Chariot Software) for years - very intuitive, you can print every report you can imagine, store anecdotal notes, weight assignments and categories, store student record info, etc. The best thing, though, has to be the ability to upload the gradebook to the web, and students and parents can then check their progress online. Saves a lot of "what's my grade" questions!

The school that I am at now uses EasygradePro, and it kind of does most of the above, but the web part is much more complex. It is more like a spreadsheet, though, so might be easier for some to use.

It might cost you a few dollars to buy a program if your school does not have one, but it is money VERY well spent.

Excel will do just fine, unless you need to store voluminous notes...
