Is it a PC card? If it's a bus card, you can only use it in a desktop computer. Bus cards are usually green, have a row of copper or silver colored metal "fingers" along one edge, and are about 6 inches long.

If you have a PC card, there is a set of slots on the laptop, often on the right or left sides, where the card in inserted. You may have to install the software first.

Did you get a card that sits in a PCI slot (like a normal PC) or did you get one specifically for laptops (PCMI card) because depending on which one you got will determine whether or not the card will even work.

If you got the PCMI card then there should be a slot in the side of your laptop. The instructions will have better details and probably some pictures to go along with it.

Unless it's a PCMCIA card you cant put it in. But if it is one, it goes in the little slot on the side. Press the square button and the little plastic thing will come out. Then put the card in. it's that simple.
