I have been working for McDonalds for about 14 years. When I first started I had high aspiration of becoming CEO of McDonalds. I started out as a fry guy and have since then moved up to assistant manager. I even won the employee of the month award 3 times during my 14 years tenure. Why won't they let me move up into greater positions of responsibility so that I have a chance to show Mcdonalds what I have? It is really hard to support 2 kids and a wife on $12.60 an hour...

Well for starters I think I;ll put in my 2 weeks notice and start working at McDonalds since there payin $12.60/hr.
Most of the time you won't be considered to an office position unless your a manager of your store. After you been a store manager for a couple of years and prove that you can run your store with no problem, then you'll be recognized.
Inventory has to be dead on
Your drive thru time must not exceed 1 minute for the day
Controlling your staff hours
Sales go up
etc.....

If this is a serious question, don't hold your breath waiting. Not likely to happen.

If you're working for a franchise, then you're not in the corporate track at all. If the owner has multiple restaurants, or if the manager where you are is getting ready to retire, you might have a chance at a manager slot - ask your current manager or the owner what your chances are, and what you'd have to do to get that job. But for any corporate job, your current position doesn't likely give you much opportunity.

Good luck.

I'm no expert, but my guess is you probably need atleast a masters degree in business administration or (MBA) for short and maybe atleast an associates degree in marketing. There probably is some college needed besides just Burger University. You need to be atleast smarter then a 5th grader. Lol Just kidding about that part. You have to be a quick decision maker and be able to change when change is needed. You also have to know your customers inside and out. I was wondering the same as you about this process, but best of luck to you in your future endeavors. ☺

Long enough... maybe another 20 years if they even consider it. You would be lucky to even be an executive... they make decent money.

Anyway, CEOs are with the corporation, not with the little restaurant you work at.

It is worth a try though. Try to look into it.

Do MBA and fly it around the directors in your P. file. If the CEO is not moving out. Consider other options.Dont give up.

It's actually the cut lettuce that will go first. The chicken part would be fine for a few days. But you're fine for a day. Add your dressing when you're ready to eat it. Otherwise, the lettuce wilts faster.

Damn, you make $12.60 an hour, at Mickey D's?!?!?! I'm in the wrong damn buisness. There are people with college educations that don't make that much!
