I know my family, nor none of our friends voted for him.
My grandma said, before he was even elected, that America would be on a downward spiral if he won and she was right.
I just hope someone will be able to fix it.

In 2000 George W. Bush did not win the customary vote yet in 2004 he did. I do like George W. Bush as President. George W. Bush can not for my area initiate a conflict. that isn't how the yankee government works. in certainty, the President of the u . s . a . can very seldom do something or enact something himself; there are exams and balances to stay away from this. As for the conflict, oil could have some area to do with it yet that became not the main significant reason. i've got faith that there have been distinctive rationalization why we went to conflict. there have been a great sort of reasons and if for some reason united statesa. can shield the middle East that must be an extremely effective element for Democracy to have a stronghold in one among those bothered governmental area. no rely if that's stable or not, or in case you compromise with Democracy is an entire different project.

In my personal opinion we didn't vote him. I have to arguments for this, but keep in mind one of them is not factual is speculation...
1. The Electoral College voted him in and yes, they sometimes go against what the majority wants even though they aren't suppose to.
2.In the state of Florida they seemed to have a ton of problems with the elections. Now lets think about this, Pres. Bush has a relative that is a governor in Florida. Hmmm, George wasn't winning... all of the sudden there were a lot of problems with ballots and such in Florida and there was a recount. One has to wonder.... If my memory serves me... there were problems with ppl being turned away due to "errors" in other states too, but if you look at who those states tended to support....you do the math, oh and for those ppl whose constitutional rights were revoked for a day, a lot of them never got vote in the last election. However, if you go back to my first argument, it might not have mattered anyway, you be the judge....

His brother, Jeb, Governor of Florida, fixed the election the first time around, but even so, the whole electoral process is a scam. The electoral college actually is responsible for "voting" the President into office.
As for Bush and his quality, there has never been a worse President. The only person that comes close to his intelligence and effectiveness as a political leader is Dan Quail.

The United States didn't vote. People did. And contrary to some replies you have gotten, no one "stole" any election. The Electoral College System has been the way to elect the highest office in the land since it was developed. If someone wants to change that, then amend the system "BEFORE" the election, not after.
I believe it would be difficult to determine how anyone would react to the situation that unfolded in 2001, 8 months after he was inaugurated. I can tell you that I am certainly glad we did not have Gore as President on September 11, 2001. Even the most die hard liberal cringes at that thought!
In 2004, I thought the Dem's had a chance, and had the other "John" had the lead role, I believe there may have been a different outcome. But they insist on pushing the proverbial limousine liberal on us.
Serves 'em right!

The first election was close because Blowhard Al Gore almost convinced the people of his lies. Also, he tried to steal the election even after that. The second election was not even close because the American people discovered that " the world" did not like Bush. Most of the world is represented in the UN. Need I say more?

The alternatives were worse than he was. The first election we had a choice of nut job Gore who claimed to invent the Internet (he had NOTHING to do with it) or Bush. Bush did a great job in Texas so people trusted him. And anyone that claims he stole it is a delusional moron.
The second time we had a choice of flip flop throw up your hands surrender Kerry and Bush. Everyone knew that Kerry would have gotten more people killed with his wishy washy policies so again, we chose the lesser of two evils.
Unfortunately it usually comes down to the lesser of two evils instead of choosing between two GOOD candidates.
Hopefully this time someone good on EITHER side rises to the top so we can have a strong, COMPETENT President for a change. The last good President was Reagan.

No kidding. It's because the GOP effectively branded John Kerry a "flip-flopper" and a cut-and-runner. Many average American people feel like while they may not be 100% sure about the two candidates, at least GWB reminds them of a good family guy from their church, but JK came off like a legalistic prick.

I asked this same question to people I know that voted for him and the answer was "I don't like change". He has not helped this country at all. I did not vote for him mainly because he was too war hungry. He reminds me of a snake watching it's prey.
