Not only that...in about five years company bought out all workers and I would have received about $175,000 at age 55. Help me live with that.

We all do dumb things at one time or another, then have to live with the consequences. Yours just had some real tough consequences.

Why? It would seem that the ends has justified your attempted sabatage. I would think the best way to learn to live with it is to write an article/book about it and hope that someone can learn from your mistakes.

Tell your employer that it wasn't you that did the act but rather your estranged evil twin. If that doesn't work, you have little choice but to live with your actions.
