I'm not sure if there are many different degrees of love, rather there is a difference in the amount. Omit passion and love varies only in intensity. I love my husband enough to give my life for him if it came to that, but I don't love my co-workers the same. I would protect them, but not risk my life for them. I care for them, more than a stranger on the street, but I would also come to their aid. Love is the connection that you feel between people. It grows with time and shared experiences. Someone who starts as a stranger, becomes a friend and maybe later, if you see that spark within them, they become your life partner.

There is love- which you have for like neighbors or your favorite food. While those are important to have, they are not necessary, so while it may hurt a bit if it leaves, it would not be as substantial a loss as if you lost a loved one, such as a child, or a parent. That love comes from within, and it is wholeheartedly.

God says to love thy neighbor, but that doesnt mean your world would end if they werent there.

Being in love and truly loving someone are two different things. Being in love is an act while truly loving someone is a feeling.

Every single human being is a human being but they all are very much different from each other. Same way Love is Love but it is very different in itself. When you love Paramatma(God) then it's totally different. When you love your parents it's very different, when you love your lover it's very different and when you love your children it's very different, when you love nature it is different, when you love your pet it's different. All mentioned love are different types of love. Its form is different, same way as a Hindu worship Paramatma in different forms but basically It is one. All these types of love is nothing other then love but still they are very much different from each other. When you truly love someone from above mentioned relations, you would be capable enough to love any one, you can feel and understand any kind of love from the bottom of you heart, isn't it?

There are differences in love! For instance, I don't love my Mom the way I love my cat. I don't love my friends the way I love my boyfriend. There are so many different kinds of love that I don't think I can name them all. You never love a person in the exact same way you love someone else. Hope that wasn't confusing!♥

Oh there is quite a difference.
Family love with each member is different.
Friendship love is different.
Loving a pet is different.

You make love with your partner but not to any of the above.
