The way that the game is set up now, it would be difficult for it to be more frequently. All the continental federations have their events set up to run in the intervening years, and the qualifying for the tournament itself takes over two years for some parts of the world, so it isn't rweally possible.

The world cup is a special event and 4 years is the right length of time. It is on a par with the Olympics, which is every 4 years, and it should stay that way, as if you have it more frequently, it becomes less of a special occasion.

No. It's too often and it's not fair for the players. They have UEFA competitions, EURO or COPA or ASIAN cup, it takes 2 years to qualify, and plus the players have lives to live. They have family, friends, and they need time for themselves. Plus, if it's every two years, it would be boring, you don't know how much excitement comes in a World Cup after waiting 4 years. But I understand, I asked this question too, it would be great. I LOVE BRAZIL! And I cried when they lost and I felt depressed after WC ended. All that excitement and competition is gone. But don't worry, there's always other games! FORCA BRASILIA!

It would be great if it was held every two years, but then it would have to cut back on quality and spending. Four years (or more) allows planning for such a big event, as well as finding big sponsors and building/renovating new facilities. .

Yes, you're right... but it's a very EXPENSIVE event and the time frame gives participants ample amount of time for training and building up strength and/ or speed! Also gives the underaged participants time to age so that they CAN participate.

4 years is perfect.

Any more regularly would just devalue the whole thing...plus it takes three years to plan and play all the qualifying matches around the world.

no, no, no...no rushing. Four years is more than enough to enjoy a victory fully.
Bring on the next 3! while I seat back and enjoy the bragging rights.
