Yes! 'Toots and the Maytals' (Album: Funky Kingston 1973) does a fabulous reggae version, substituting some words, ex: West Jamaica, instead of West Virginia. Keep an open mind and you may just get hooked to this tune! I did! Enjoy :-)

C'mon people - Toots Hibbert kills the song on the Funky Kingston album by Toots & the Maytals. A must for any well-rounded collection.

Also, you might not be aware but you can go to www.allmusic.com and look up a song title to see everyone who performed it. Ain't the internet grand?

theres a punk version i found on limewire. it doesnt say the artist just "punk cover - country roads" its awesome if you like that kind of music - but certainly doesnt compare to the original!
