I was an old skool raver and I'd have given anything to be old enough to have done the summer of love 88-90 type era.
Reckon every generation looks back on what they've missed, while enjoying what they've got...

YES TOTALLY!!! i think the 50's through the 70's were HOT HOT HOT! everything changed so much in that time. the style of dress and dance in the 50's is SO cool, and then the 60's being an amazing time for rebellion into the 70's which despite "free love" was totally intense. i love the style of the seventy's, orange and green and brown, and ugly wallpaper, and paneling on the walls, and v-dub vans and hippie style with a party spirit. the disco and club scenes were probably amazing compared to today where it is the same old rap/hip-hop music that totally sucks, and everyone gets way to hammered at the bar and there is no style, and i come from the country, so lots of times you see people that look like they crawled out of a hole and thought "hey! lets go to the bar".... and its all in the name of "its 2000's we can do whatever we want" and that is not true! i think that i have def missed out.

I was a teenager in the 80's and the music scene and fashion was great but fashion always reinstates itself, I think teens today get away with a lot especially at school and I have a 15 yr old. It's swings and roundabouts.

I always wish that I could have lived my life in the '30s or '40s or '50s, back in a time when life was simpler, people were kinder, neighbors knew and helped their neighbors, and there was a bright future for children. Nowadays, society is blighted by materialism, selfishness, parents who refuse to discipline their children, angry racial relations, forced diversity, expanding waistlines, and neighbors who don't even know each other's names. I am disappointed that I was born when I was because I would have been much happier as an adult decades ago. Society today is going downhill... and fast.

A little bit. I always wished I'd been a teenager in the 60's. The clothes and music were so good. Instead I spent my childhood and early teens in the 80's, wearing a lot of neon pink and green and dancing to culture club !

Have no fear young one. You haven't missed anything as long as you are able to research music, clothing styles and the like. Get in touch with different folks who grew up in these times. I'm an old school rocker who was blessed by birth to have grown up in the 60's and70's
