i would get out some 1920's, 1930's and 1940's films and study them.

in my opinion this style of eye make up is glamorous and feminine.

in addition to this just start buying magazines that you feel display the kind of look you are trying to achieve.

Arty type magazines are also good....... like the mag 'black and white'.

lastly, why dont you book one session with a professional make-up artist and ask all the questions you need to ask....... its just to hard too explain it without make up in hand.

best of luck

Visit various make-up counters at the mall. They will give free makeovers and show you how to use their products. If you like the look they give you, buy the product and do what they did. It's really the best way to learn.

Since you haven't really said what the look your going for IS, that's about all the advice you can get from this question. ;)

practice....I use Mary Kay and Love it...find a rep and they will give you a free make over and show you the correct way to apply and what colors will work well with your tones. The make over is free and you don't have to buy anything unless you like it.

Good luck and have fun....

well eyemakeup differs on shape and color of eyes. try experimenting with different colors. go to a place that does makeovers. they will know what's best for you. just ask the lady at the makeup counter and she should be able to help you.

It really depends on what kind of "look" you are going for. MAC makeup is great, they can give you a lot of tips when you go in to buy makeup, or have them show you.

buy teenage magazines, adult ones dont have much details on make up tips, compared to teenage magazines.
as for makeup, productas from MAC is great, plus they will show you how to apply when u purchase fm them.
personally, i like applying 2 shades on my eyelids. it all depends on yr skin colour, green & gold is a good combo for me.
gd luck...
