Looking at travelling to Harrow campus of Westminster University for the open day and will need to get a train to Charing X and pick up the Bakerloo line (Brown line i think) to Northwick Park stop. Does anyone know roughly how long this takes or even how long the bakerloo line is from one end to the other as its only a few stops off travelling the whole length. Thanks xxx

Bakerloo Line does not take you to Northwick park Station you need to change to Metropolitian Line.
If you are starting from Charing Cross look below for the route and Journey time.
start Charing Cross
Take the Bakerloo Line towards Queen's Park
or Bakerloo Line towards Harrow & Wealdstone
or Bakerloo Line towards Willesden Junction
Average journey time: 9 mins
Zone(s): 1

Change at Baker Street
Then take the Metropolitan Line towards Uxbridge
Average journey time: 17 mins
Zone(s): 1, 2, 3, 4

Getoff at Northwick Park, but............Mind the Gap!

The Jubilee Line doesn't stop at Charing Cross just out of interest, so your best bet is to take the Bakerloo Line to Baker Street, then transfer onto to the Metopolitan Line which will take you onwards to Northwick Park.

Make sure the Metropolitan Line train you get on is going to Uxbridge, because trains to other destinations (ie Amersham, Chesham and Watford) only call at Finchley Road and Wembley Park between Baker Street and Harrow On The Hill, and DON'T stop at Northwick Park.

The bakerloo line (yes, the brown one) takes at least 2 minutes at each stop. so u should be able to roughly calculate it to the stop u want. but i dont think that the bakerloo line goes to northwick park...thats the metropolitan line

As you need to get to Northwick park, try and get on the metropolitan train, the pinky purple one. it goes passed wembly park station, jubilee line, and it takes you straight to northwick park, bakerloo line dont. so from charing x, get on the jubilee line and change at finchley road for the metropolitan north bound train. you be fine dont worry, it will take about 1hr i reckon, give it 1 1/2 just incase.
