I try to.
But it's awfully hard sometimes.
Before i even think of judging someone, i usually try to walk a mile in their shoes. That way, I'll be a mile from them, and i'll still have their shoes.
:)
All jokes aside...
I try my hardest to see things in the light of another person. I do this so i can figure out what makes them who they are. And it helps me to understand them a lot better. I find that it just makes it easier to get along. And it's easier for me to adapt to them if i know what they're right.
Am i making ANY sense?

Yes, several times. But sometimes there is that moment when you see through the eyes of another that seems almost mystical. This happened to me with my youngest son. There is an incident in my childhood that was very traumatic. There was just a day when, out of the blue, I thought about how my son would feel in the same situation. Just for an instant I saw my own childhood through my son's eyes. It brought healing and closure to an old wound.

Every day. You have to folks! If you go around only looking at your own perspective you only live for yourself. You have to stop and think about how the other person must see life.... how another person will react to things..... how another person will feel about your words... Not just yourself.
In my job, as a parent, as a friend, as a daughter, as a sister, as a lover ....... in all situations, you have to see the world through the other's eyes. This shows love. This shows you put them before yourself. This makes you the kind of person you should be.
I try. It's not always easy. When it's not easy, I take that as a sign about how I feel about the other person. That is the true sign. If you are able to see their side before seeing your own.

The closest I ever got was seeing the world by watching my daughter grow up. Everything was new and facinating. A bug, a rubberband, the stars,...It reopened my eyes to how wonderful the world really can be.

Not physically, but emotionally I have had that honor.
It opened up a whole new world for me of the ugliness that man can create.
I feel privileged that I had to opportunity to see that which I never would have had that person not opened my eyes and let me see.
Insofar as I can understand without having experienced it.

I have through movies. But I am not so sure how accurate those depictions can be.
I recently saw Hotel Rwanda and it why quite moving. I did not realize the struggles that were occurring in that part of the world.

As much as you try, that's all you can do. in the final analysis.
you can never see totally what someone else sees. I f you say you can I believe you are kidding yourself, and the person eyes you are trying to do the impossible with. but never the less its a noble and endearing thing to try.

I woke up one morning and decided to try on my husband's glasses. Ironically enough, I couldn't see a damn thing while looking at the world through "his eyes".

In one moment I saw the world through my mothers eyes.
The night before my son was to leave for his first trip to summer camp he said something to me that I had said 25 years ago to my Mom the night befor I left for my first trip to summer camp. In an instant I was transformed in time and suddenly I was my Mom. I cried because of the things I realized.
