what do you think about CUNY schools?

They are decent, affordable, and a great place to start if you have less than stellar academics, but are by no means great. If that is your only option, go and then transfer, but you would be better off going to one of the SUNY 2 year schools (Alfred, Utica, Morrisville...) and then transfering.
