Most everyone has cold sores. It is a type of Herpes and it is transferable to the genitals no oral sex from the time you feel it starting until about 2 days after it's gone. Pass on putting your sore on anyone elses body.

If you and your friend have Herpes of the month area, he has the virus and can't be reinfected (on the mouth). He still could get it down under.

Yes, you have it for life... If you have just got it for the first time, it will erupt more frequently and last longer. After a few years it will occur less often, and maybe never again.

Try using "Abreive" purchased from you local drug store. You can use when you have one... if you start using it as some as you have the tingling that one is about to start... if may keep you from getting the sore (but you still are contagious).

By the way... Everyone should be aware that the down below virus is very common... 1 in every 5 people have it. 90% of people have no signs of it... or very small signs that go unnoticed... a sore could be the size of a pin head, people might dismiss it as a pimple. It is passed on with skin contact, so condoms don't stop a person from getting it. Cause it cound be on an area that is not protected.

Eventually, everyone will have genital herpes, just like everyone has it on the month. People don't know they have it... so it will keep getting passed on. The only way to know if you have it is to get a blood test.

Lets see.... 1 in 5, if you've have more than 5 partners, chances are you've been with someone that had it. And it can be caught with no sores from a process called shedding.

don't freak out. cold sores are nothing. for the first 24 hours you can give others cold sores if they drink after you or something. The best thing to do is not to share any food or drinks while having a cold sore and don't give oral. usually people get cold sores if they've had a fever, changing of weather, or stress. I've lived with cold sores my entire life, i was born with them. they are very very common. if you get another one go to your doctor and ask for them to give you a prescription of Zovirax, use this right away and you're cold sore will be gone in just a few days or ask for Valtrex, it's expensive but if you take this at first signs of a cold sore it'll be gone withing 24 hours.

just relax it could be a simple cold sore the change of the weather can make this happen. jsut be more careful. if it is herpes you will see it occur more often and it will be alot of bumps not just one or 2. if you didnt wash your face really good afterwards it could just be breaking out. i would just watch it and if it keeps happening sweetie then please see you doctor that is a very serious thing. they have treatments to controll it but for right now just calm down and watch it it might be no big deal. good luck.
