Are you in UK?
you are asking two questions...do teachers get paid for holidays? But then you go on to say you want to be a TA..
Teachers do get paid for some of the holidays.
TEACHING ASSISTANTS dont!
They get paid for 38 weeks a year. (some schools allow for 39 weeks depending on the lengths of terms)
The wages are salaried so you'll receive a pay cheque every month, even through the summer hols.
But you are entitled to some benefits as you will be a low wage earner. You will have some housing benefit and council tax benefits too.

If you are working as an LSA (Teaching assist) you will be working for an education department. The way the salary is worked out is simple. They take the total hours you will work, times it by the hourly rate and divide it by 12. This way you get an amount of money every month. Overtime in some cases can be paid in arrears but not in every case. Hope this helps.

A teacher is paid an annual salary. The total is divided by 12 and then that amount is paid monthly.
For example £24000 per year is £2000 a month.
This is what will be paid less the tax etc.

Teachers do but I am not sure about teaching assistants? Contact the DfES to find out or contact a local recruitment agency which specialises in education.

It depends on the school district where you teach. Most school districts are on either a ten- or twelve-month pay scale. (In some districts you can choose.)
In my district, they have recently shifted to a system in which everyone receives pay on a ten-month scale. We get paid the same amount; we just get slightly larger checks and then have to budget to have money for the summer.

be a teacher if that is your aptitude and interest. People always say the money is not enough, and maybe in some cases not, but learn to live within your means.
