As we speak, they are discussing the possibility of growing 1000
times the neuronal connections in a dog's brain as a fetus, so
he would have the same cortex connections as a human, but
with the same dog brain structure.
They are going to rewire the jaw and larnyx so the dog can speak,
and it is evidentally expected that the dog would be able to read
as well.
It is expected that the dog would have an intelligence somewhere between an ape and a human.
The dog would talk in complete sentences. And it would be more
than "please take me outside", "I'd very much like to gor for a ride",
or what have you.
The dog would be able to comment on how beautiful the blue sky is, on the quality of the human food he begs for, and other
mind blowing asides.
The dog would have the intelligence of a 6-8 year old healthy
child, and we vocalize the same questions that drive us all crazy.
'Why don't you take me to work", "i miss you dearly, mum"

Scary stuff is not the way to describe it. My dog already does all that. I thought they all did. Right now he is shaking his head and rolling his eyes at me.

Sorry, I have to go speak to him about his menu he gave me for dinner.

O.K. If my dog cannot communicate as we do, tell me this, how did he get his own credit card in his name at the pet store? Sure, I pay half the bill, but I felt that was fair since he only has a part time job.

I think it's cool. I was going to say, why not do it with apes, but intelligent apes would beat our behinds and make us all slaves and it would end up like some kind of Planet of the Apes world.

I think this is cool, but dogs are notoriously happy all the time and overly excitable. I don't want to have to argue with my dog about the benefits of not pooping in the house or not humping people's leg.

Oh God, this is a horrible idea.

We're gonna create a dog that will never shut up about how the food sucks and he wants to go for a walk and how he friggin hates the next door neighbor's cat and wants to kill the mailman, etc.

It will be like the worst girlfriend you ever had.

It is an absolutely horrendous idea. There's only one God. Leave creation to him. That said, it's truly funny because I just watched the movie versions of Dean Koontz' "Watchers" which was abound a genetically engineered dog who was a intelligent as a human and could read. This one couldn't speak tho.

Very scary indeed, Keep in mind, they experiment with the animal before trying it on man. They play "God"
I think if the public were to find out how many experiments actually are being done there would be outrage!
I think the ultimate goal is mind control!
