You insert the applicator and push up on the external part. Once the tampon is inserted it expands due to moisture. The expansion blocks off the opening of the vagina so the rest of the tampon can absorb all the fluid coming out.

buy a box and look at the directions. If you've never used them I'd go for like jr. slim or something

If you have used them, then you probably know the answer. If not, they absorb the schmootz, if you know what i mean.

get a tampon and put it in some water and you'll you'll see....what happens thenis what happens when you insert it........
