A pathway by the lake ....... a wooden bench ...... wildlife all around. The sun reflecting off of the water. Turtles sunning themselves on a log. Deer peeking their heads out to see if it is safe. Holding a friend's hand. Talking for hours in what seemed like seconds.
I close my eyes and go here when the world around me spins out of control. It's safe..... it's calming... it's real.

3 am on the dock at the dam.
If you have never been driving around your home town between the hours of 3 and 5 am you are missing a little bit of life. It is as if time is standing still. I usually end up down at the dam sitting on a dock just listening to the sound of nothing.

I like Gyorzyk's answer. But to make time stand still in a good way I lie down under the clear night sky and watch the stars.

The ocean.
I lose track of time when i'm in the ocean or just sitting on the beach listening to the waves.
I could sit there for hours just thinking. I feel closer to God there than anywhere else on the world. It's so liberating. And i love the taste of the ocean. The taste drives me wild. I love the feeling of the salty water on my skin. I love the way it feels to just float and stare up at the sky and have the waves bring you back down to earth. It's a completely wonderful place....
I miss it so much sometimes that i can't breathe...

Yes, right on here sometimes. Five minutes become 5 hours and time has stood still and you want it to stay that way forever.
