Probably the most well known is the horseshoe turned with ends up to catch the good luck. But contrary to popular belief it wasn't put up over the door. you can guess why. My grandparents had them hung up in the barn and where the tools were kept in the shed.

There are none, all traditions and cultures - including everything from food to superstitions, are from foreign lands. America is known as "the Melting Pot" because so many different lands have come here with their cultures and not a single culture was actually started here (aside from Native Americans...obviously, but I don't think that's what you are looking for))

My mom always told me that if you catch a leaf falling from a tree, you'll have good luck. That may have been her way of making me run around like a nut in the yard until I got tired, though! :-)

A rabbit's foot, four leaf clover, horseshoe over your door with the prongs right side up, finding a penny head side up on the ground, lots more I can't think of right now.
