Yes. It's possible to get pregnant at any time, it's just more likely at certain times in your cycle.

You ovulate one day before your period (this is because your eggs are droping and that is why you have a period) and the average women ovulates again 14 days after there period ends. Some women may ovulate a day or two before or after. You only have like 24 or 48 hours when you ovulate to get pregnant...so if you want a baby, get an ovulation test and get busy!!

It is "possible" to get pregnant anytime that you have sex. That is the bottom line. Is it likely? Heck no.
The best time to get pregnant is 4 or 5 days before you ovulate. Most women ( most is the important word here) will ovulate halfway between their last period and their next one. So, if you are regular you can figure out when you ovulate. It is very unlikely that you would ovulate during your period or right afterwards but stranger things have happened.
Take care and good luck.

If your cylce is 28 days, you most likely would ovulate on day 14. (day 1 being the first day of your period). BUT if you are stressed out or your hormone levels rise (progesterone) you can ovulate at anytime, including while you are on your period. I knew 1 person who ovulated on day 3 (which is when she was on her period).
If you are interested in knowing when you ovulate normally, buy an ovulation prediction kit. The instructions will tell you when to start testing based on the length of your cycle (sometimes you can end up using 2 kits if you have a long cylce), it will let you know 24-48 hrs prior to ovulation based on the progesterone levels rising (you test with your urine but not first urine of the day, and you test at the same time each day).

YES, YES, YES!! You can get pregnant from intercourse during your period. That myth is told by guys ujst so they can get in some girl's pants and not have to use a condom. That is one of the number one thing you get told in 5th Grade from the health nurse's sexual education class. You all remember right?... boys in one room girls in another? little pamphlets, etc ?

Yes whilst you are still menstruating the egg is in prime position to be fertilised. Once your period has just stopped there is still a minute chance of pregnancy as a new egg is already being sent from the ovary, but it is a very slim chance.

If you have periods and have sex without protection it's definitely possible to become pregnant. You'd better get a test to be on the safe side.

Yes, always protect yourself! My friend now has a beautiful 2year old boy after believing the myth that you can't get pregnant from having sex during your period.
