For any heterozygous individual the Gene and its allele are not the same
T=tall assuming this is dominat
t=short
hence: Tt X Tt
gametes = T t x T t
F1 gen: TT Tt Tt tt
thus 75% are tall and 25% short
Tt are hetrozygous Tall but carry gene for shortness
TT are homozygous tall
tt are homozygous short

The phenotypic expression will be 2:2 ( Two Tall and Two short) assuming that the height is governed by the dominant allele. However, among the two tall plants ,one will be homozygous (TT) and one will be heterozygous. The genotypes will be TT, Tt, tt, tt.
