You can find out when you get an ultrasound in 2 to 7 weeks.. they do it between 12 and 17 weeks. BUT they aren't always correct. What do you THINK you're having? I ask because there was a study done that said that Moms know at a rate of about 71% the sex of the child. ALSO beware that many have been told their having a boy and had a girl and vice versa. When I went shopping early in my pregnancy, I just bought white, yellow, green, black and red stuff! Get your carrier, socks, booties, mittens and stuff like that. Are blue and pink REALLY your fav colors? Didn't think so! (smile) Okay, congrats and best wishes!!!

Wait until your second trimester to start shopping. You can find out the sex around 16 weeks. Just buy things here and there, and hold off a while, you will recieve LOTS of sruff. We never had to buy anything pretty much until our son was 1 year old. Check second hand baby stores, kids grow out of things soooo fast, alot of the stuff is like new, and when they grow so quick, its nice to know you never paid full price for a outfit they wore 2 or 3 times. Congrats.

If the baby is laying just right, I think they can tell as early as 15 weeks, but it's rare. Usually, they do an ultrasound somewhere between 17 and 20, and you'll find out then.

I found out my baby's gender at 20 weeks with my son. With my daughter I had an ultrasound at 14 weeks, and they were wrong. They said I was having a boy! I had a girl, Melanie! The longer you can wait, the more accurate the ultrasound will be.

Not at least untill 16 weeks and often not untill 18 weeks or later if the baby cooperates. Good luck and happy shopping.

I was told that you can find out between 18 and 20 weeks. I found out at 18 and it was clear view. You never know though. Just wait and your doctor will tell you. I would say within the next few appointments.

after 20 weeks the ob-gyn can do a ultrasound and if the baby's legs are open they should be able to tell you. If you want to shop now you can buy green and yellow items.

I found out i was having a boy at 17weeks 3 days, i have heard ppl find out as early as 15/16weeks.
And for all the doubters out there he is def a boy saw his testicles and a very small winky!!! ( poor thing im told it will grow!!!)
trust me wait till 16weeks the ask if you can be scanned for gender, once you know what your having you wont stop buying!!!
