The feminist movement did a lot of good, but it also went a little too far in some areas. Unfortunately, like most important movements when they are first started they are run by extremists, but what usually happens is as a movement matures it is taken over by more level-headed moderates that keep the watch when the need for extremes aren’t needed anymore. The feminist movement will always have a place in society it will act as a watch dog to ensure that we don’t slide back into the dark ages of women’s rights. I give the American people a lot of credit for determining when any movement has gone too far. I am sure we will see changes in the future, but the majority of American people see women’s rights as fundamental and good for the country.

I think that it is just like any other social movement. Some will take advantage of something that everyone knows is for the good of all.
The feminist movement has more work to do in several areas including equal pay and treatment at work. There are some that will abuse anything and feminism is no different. Do not spurn the entire movement, just the abusers.
By the way, I cook and clean, well, I try to clean but my wife says I only TRY. I also have a career but have noticed lately that my wife makes more money than I do. Great for me! I always say, do what you want and it all works out.

The word 'equal' can mean many things. In today's language, it is usually taken to mean 'of the same value'. In this way, yes, the two genders are absolutely equal. If by 'equal', you mean 'without differences except of the physical type', though, than men and women are not 'equal'.
If you maintain that men and women are different in only a few anatomical details, you are pulling out the foundation of society and of the family, and opening the door for homosexuality, polygamy, incest, and every other sin that has been guarded against by society by a solid foundation of masculinity and femininity. If everyone is completely 'equal' in every way, there is no reason to restrict sexual relations and relationships between any two or more people. Just make sure that you think through what feminists are trying to sell you before you bite hook, line, and sinker.

It's gone too far in a few ways, one which has nothing to do with real feminism. The feminists who brought American women the vote took seriously their roles as mothers. The second wave, in the late 60s, was co-opted by corporate America and sold back to women in a poison brew - it was a potion that would elevate woman to the old patriarch status - accountable to no one, free to be distant from her children, free to help or not as she pleased around the house.
When my mom learned that I was the only one of my stay-home-mom friends who made supper for her family, she was appalled and wondered what happened to women of my generation. Why has caring for the family become political?
Because, i think, of the faux feminism sold through the media. It benefitted corporations to break down family ties, and to flood the work place with workers to as to drive down wages. People didn't think through the argument of faux/corporate feminism and we ended up with people thinking that caring for their own homes and their own families is a thing only the lower class need do. I think this is very dangerous for our culture.
Relationships pay a hellacious price for the politicization of the family, as men wonder what's in it for them and then, by the time their kids are 10ish and their husbands are full of resentment, the women find themselves doing all the work, with little help. And so the cycle starts again. I can't ignore that my grandmother was repeatedly beaten and worse by my grandfather, and when she would try to flee - there was nowhere to go. She and her kids were stuck. Generations of this suffering posisbly contributed to women not thinking clearly, seeking more vengence than a better world for us all, ignoring that most men were victims of the patriarchy, too.
I think breathroughs are coming because of women like you, Lindsey, who are willing to stand up and say - what about the men? What about character? What about doing your best?

I believe in equal rights!! I strongly believe that a woman can do anything she wants maybe even better than a man.
I believe that at home it should be 50-50
women come from work tired as men, but we r expected to make dinner and clean after it and feed the kids and more.
I think men should cook and clean and do laundry.

perhaps they take it too far off from a private journey they have had (anybody is diverse, you pronounced it your self). individually, I dont understand every person who has taken it that far (that i'm able to bear in mind). i think of that girls, alongside with the different discriminated against communities, ought to push the envelope to equivalent rights and therapy. I dont think of that everythign is equivalent and that discrimination nevertheless exists. Pay is definately nevertheless diverse for men and girls human beings in this us of a. yet I do think of there are superb procedures of coming near the challenge and incorrect procedures - procedures which could be greater unfavourable than powerful. i think of that if a woman doesnt have a job at domicile, and her husband works, it isnt her "pastime" or "place" to bathe the domicile, restoration dinner, and so on., yet i think of it quite is greater a contribution to the relationship. The male supplies your cash to pay for housing, expenses, nutrition, and so on and the female retains issues orderly and helps the husband so as that he can proceed to hold domicile the money to pay for issues. Im no longer sayign the lads is larger or greater desirable than the female, its do in simple terms what you need to do to make it artwork, and if that's what works, then why substitute it? comparable is going for women working and men staying at domicile. the female is makign the money and contributing it to the popular benifit of the relationship, i think of the guy ought to shield the domicile and different issues on the same time as she is off doing otherthings. A relationship desires the two human beings contributing to function. in the event that they the two have careers and the female is doing all of the artwork, perhaps she ought to ifnd a guy who will provide 2 shits approximately her and help out. And to the guy who pronounced equality doesnt exits interior the workplace - learn/archives will lower back you up each of ways on that one.

As far as I can tell the feminist movement has already accomplished it's original goals and now is looking for something else to push. In so doing it has made plenty of mistakes and shown it is now obsolete and serving no purpose other than to survive in some form. Sometimes you just have to let go and let the movement die.

Yes, I've known a couple women like that in our neighborhood.... It's been interesting too that they've been gaining the pounds steadily over the past 5 years compared to the other women on the street who don't share that point of view....

In my opinion,I would say that everyone is getting to hell-bent on revenge to enjoy a life worth living. But it is already predicted in the Bible that we will continue the fighting til the end,So I don't think the majority have the brain power to try living a peaceful relaxed life. They are to busy trying to be a part,to fit in.So in my opinion it is just a waste of effort to try to get them to understand true logic.Take Care and May God Bless You.
