They believe what you tell them that you see in an inkblot. It's used for determining mind patterns and ways of thinking about things. They also will study your face when you look at the image. personaly, you can fool any doctor, everything is based on you.

they believe that whatever images you see in those inkblots give them clues as to what your mindset is. For instance, I once say two parachuters shooting at eachother. Indicates conflict.

It's actually not that common anymore. it was a personality to test to see if you had fixations or common themes throughout pictures. I don't think most insurances cover it anymore so it has fallen out.
