I am recording a cd, and need background sounds of birds, the sea, thunder, dolphins, etc...

Check at a local record store outlet like Camelot Music, Music Land or Recordland. Independent stores too-- any of them can order things like that for you.

go to TARGET, they have all kinds of enjoyable sounds like that, or tape all your own sounds on a trip to the sea side or to your local Zoo
