I agree with you, but I would work for DC because I have been a Batman fan for years before I knew what a X-man was. Besides, everyone would work for Marvel, because their characters are so popular. You can't find anyone who can't name a Marvel character. I think that it would be a challenge to work for DC and bring the franchise to another level, not just using Batman and Superman as the guide. When are they gonna make a Green Lantern Movie? When will Wonder Woman make her own movie? Get what I'm saying? and Marvel movies are kinda good, but they dont follow the comics or real origins, so for a rabid fan of both Marvel and DC, X-3 was dissapointing where as Batman Begins was on point.

WOW are you my husband? Are posting while at work? Hmmmm... okay really its time to merge the two companies rather than choose one or the other, after all they have done guest appearances in each others comics. Or, maybe, its time for a new comic book company to come in and give these others a run for their money (yes there are other companies out there ut they aren't catering to the same group of ppl as Marvel and DC). The more I think about this the less black and white the question is to me I mean they both put out some awesome characters, but i'd have to agree Marvel it is. Stan Lee created the mutant which leaves endless possibilities for new characters.

DC. I've always been a fan of them, but they were pretty bad for a couple of decades.
HOWEVER, recently their stories are better than Marvel's. They are more creative, and they explore humanity without being so fatalistic and pessimistic.
Their characters have more dimensions than Marvel. Marvel runs their characters into the ground.
Spider-Man's "everyman" woes, Stark's addictions, etc. get tiresome.
They also keep their stories a little more in check. Dealing w/ the Beyonder, Phoenix, Galactus, Trickster, Impossible Man...beings who can do nearly anything, gets boring, loses continuity, and is often just stupid.
DC has both positive and negative to their characters. And there is parity that keeps the stories interesting.

Marvel is the better, more entertaining company in my opinion. DC still has some hurtles to get over. They tend to write more boring stories. I read comics because I like the escape from reality. I don't want a story that's bogged down with too much dialogue and very lilttle costumed adventures. I want to see superheroes fighting super villians and mosters and such… not normal joe-shmoe wearing a suit and tie talking about serious issues. DC still seems overly concerned with the kid-friendly status quo.

I would work for both Marvel and DC because all of their characters are unique in their own special way.

That is a hard one to answer, but I would have to say DC, after all I could never live in Marvel world, Logan and Scott both would want me dead for killing Jean Grey.

Though I'm more of a Marvel guy, I'd prefer to work at DC.... I like alot of their A and B level villains... and would love to work on Villain titles Like Deathstroke, The Terminator or Solomon Grundy or Bizaro or even Lobo....!
Marvel's villains are more complicated.... but less interesting since "M-Day".

I'd rather do something like Image and get my own group of talent to do the books our own way.
Also, once you've created a character for Marvel, THEY own it, not you.
And DC is fine, but I can't stand a lot of the crap they pull.
