A lot of people won't even put aside ten percent of their income to help themselves, so should the average person give ten percent of their income to every week to help fight HIV/AIDS? A lot of them won't do it. We are already complaining about the taxes and deductions we have to pay now. So, why should the wealthy have to pay or give more? They work and scheme for their money just as everyone else does. They can't help it if our work doesn't produce a high income. That's up to us.

When I reach the level of Baller Status, I do plan on giving. But I don't want to be forced to give more just because I make more than the average. I worked for it and I want to be able to give money or support from my heart... and to the organization or cause that I choose.

Because they earn their money, fair and square, by doing their jobs! They do not have to donate to the charities they already donate to! They do not have to share their money at all! Why don't you help assist in helping out with the AIDS/HIV and other deadly diseases cause? Any amount of money I am sure will help out a great deal! Look at how many years, and how many billions of dollars have been given to support the cause of trying to rid the world of AIDS/HIV and all these other medical problems currently with no cure. What is it with people trying to make the rich give away all their money, are you mad because you are not making millions?

Why should they? It's their money. They worked hard for it. Being rich isn't as easy as it looks.

How much money have you given to any charity as opposed to you annual income? AIDS is just one problem that's be solved right now. USE PROTECTION!!!!

Why should people have to spend million of dollars that they earned just because some horny bastard is too cheap so spot the 75 cents? We need to start taking responsibility for our own actions here people, not try to guilt the rich in to paying for our mistakes.

No. It is their money, presumably earned or inherited from legitimate purposes. They can choose to give (or not give) their money for anything they want. Why AIDS or disease? Why not homelessness? Hunger? The arts? All are are as noble as curing disease.

Persons who have more power in society have a greater responsibility to it. Even if you don't agree with that point of view there's little point in trying to get more money out of the poor. It's easier to bleed a pig than a stone.

They already do. A lot of celebs help with fund raisers to help with cancer and hunger. Or to help with college funds for less fortunate normal people.

Nah... They worked hard for their money. If I was rich I would not want to give it up.
