I used a steamer on mine. They are not very expensive and the artex comes off the wall really easily. Steamers are brilliant for removing tile adhesive too after you've stripped tiles off a wall.

sorry the only way is to skim the walls again with a new coat of plaster which will take about 3 to 4 hours or take a hammer knock off all the plaster and replaster it which will take about 3 to 4 DAYS TAKE YOUR PICK

You can steam it off but it takes a long time and turns to a substance like chewing gum, it is far easier to get a plasterer to skim over the whole lot.

the best and the quickest way is to have the wall skimed over by a professional plasterer as i makes a bloody mess when you try to scrap it of and you will end up taking half the plaster off anyway

Careful !! may contain asbestos, so dont be sanding it. A skim of plaster is the best solution.

Plasterer to skim over the top of it, could be expensive for a good one!!! Steam could be quite time consuming, sand it could be very messy!!!! xxx
