I think its a mix of both enviroment and genetics. But primarily environment.
If John Stewart had been born in a family of dour Wyoming sheepherders, he'd still be a funny guy, but in a hometown small potatoes kind of way.
Our experiences shape who we are and what we find "funny." They shape how outgoing we can be as well. But we have to have a genetic predisposition toward being "outgoing" in the first place, or it'll never happen.

i think that sense of humor is not equated with being funny as u r confusing both terms. Sense of humor refer to our ability to understand jokes and other comical situation so of course it can be learned. As to being funny i would say it required some trait (like an agile mind, ability to see things in a different light) but that if u have those prerequisite traits u can learn to be funny.

i don't exactly know, but i feel that some are born comedians and some learn with their experiences in life

Being funny is something your born with in my opinion. Having a sense of humor is more about getting the joke.

humour is about who you are. For instance, I have a rather dry one, and some people dont get it. Some people on the other hand, get it and think I am very funny. I have friends who have cerebral humour, and some who have lowbrow humour. Dont sweat it, just enjoy who you are.

wellll i'm christian and particularly stinkin' sarcastic so i might want to say that some human beings christians have not were given any sense of humor in besides (the uptight judgmental ones) and some be attentive to the thanks to be humorous
