Besides doesn't the massive amount of gang violence and drug smuggling crimes count for something?

The victims happen with the cocaine, heroine and x...same with the drugs that are smuggled and the gang violence...it's not the weed, it's the cocaine, heroine and x

People aren't violent when they smoke pot. Most of it isn't smuggled to the extent that these other drugs are...so it's those drugs that have victims, not the weed, man

I personally think weed is about the equivalent to smoking and drinking, and so therefore shouldn't be considered a crime. It isn't an addictive drug, and it will **** you up just as much as a cigarette and alchohol will in the long run or in excessive use. People try to back it up with dumb **** like it cures glaucoma n stuff, or it isn't bad alchohol is worse, and some even have the nerve to say it makes them MORE confident or able to perform job duties than when they're sober that's like the typical dumbass excuses alchoholics and cigarette smokers use for their ****...SO WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE? Only time weed becomes illegal is when freakin rowdy *** mixtures (that involve drugs or shrooms or SOMETHIN out of the ordinary) that supposedly make the weed stronger. Hell it's legal in EUROPE! But apparently europeans are more responsible than americans, since there really ISN'T any drinking age there either. Cocaine heroine, and x n ****, those things have IMMEDIATE and short-term effects...that stuff WILL and CAN **** you up and kill you in a short time, and do some serious damage to you, so it's understandable why they're illegal, but weed? It's just another human killing asset that if put on the market and taxed can probably do more good to the economy. The negative effects possibly increase the deaths and bad influences...but then the people before us had to commit genocide and go to war for this "glorious" country of ours to be put into creation.....what do you think will surmount by making this legal in the long run? Besides America's civil and peaceful world will never be when you got millions of people who enjoy drama and pain, or live with that 'rebellious' nature....it's already worse so why not throw in a curve ball and try to fix it a different way? APPARENTLY ads, and the law ain't doin much to fix it...so let's try plan B shall we?

Because they do drugs, It is not really that difficult to understand. Drugs illegal are far from a victim less crime. And prescription drug use and abuse is on the rise. However, I have never heard of anyone robbing or killing anyone because they could not get any weed. Yes there is an issue with smuggling. however, heroin, cocaine and Rx drugs are doing the majority of harm within society. God Bless

Cannabis is widely misunderstood by many folks. It is a mild psychoactive substance that can have considerable benefits when used in moderation. It is not addictive like alcohol or cigarettes, it does *not* kill brain cells. It should not be illegal at all. It would be a safe and effective replacement for the mood elevating drugs that the big pharamaceutical companies make so much profit selling.

The government and those who profit on its illegality have been villifying this beneficial substance for years. It has many uses even besides recreational use. It is no coincidence that it was made illegal the same year that the DuPont corporation recieved its patent for Nylon. Cannabis fiber is the longest, strongest fiber in nature.

Putting cocaine and heroine in the same class is just stupid. Pot is nothing like it.

The weed we get here is grown out in the woods east of town. The last count I had no rival gangs have put a cap in anyone's ......you know....over pot.

What's wrong.....Oh let me guess you were pride in school right.

I think that people say that because the effects that weed has on the body is not as apperent and sudden like the other drugs are. Heroine and Cocaine can be very addicting and will lead to self-distruction. X is a drug that will not always kill you. The effects of X on the body are not the same as the others. Yet you can be addicted. Now I do not smoke weed, but from what I heard people say that they are not addicted, yet they smoke everyday.....that sounds like addiction to me.

So to answer your question, I think that people say that because they are not educated...maybe because the weed kills the memory cells.

WELL I DON'T KNOW YOU, BUT I CAN TELL YOU THAT I HAVE SMOKED WEED SINCE I WAS ABOUT 16 AND NOW THAT I AM 23 AND BEEN THROUGH DETOX I HAVE CHANGED MY WHOLE OUTLOOK ON LIFE! I REDEDICATED MY LIFE TO GOD OVER THREE WEEKS AGO, VOLUNTARILY PUT MYSELF THROUGH DETOX, MOVED BACK IN WITH MY PARENTS, AND I FEEL BETTER THAN EVER. I'LL JUST END BY SAYING YOU DON'T NEED DRUGS IF YOU GET ON THE RIGHT PATH AND YOU ARE ALOT STRONGER THAN ANY DRUG!!
GOOD LUCK!!!!
