Depending on the state where you live, you may have to get a blood test. You can go to your local health clinic. It usually takes 2-3 days to get the results. Then you call your local Judge and set the appointment for the ceremony. You take the results of the blood test with you when you apply for the marriage license. The application process usually takes about an hour. If either of you has been married before, you will need a copy of your divorce decree or death certificate if the spouse is deceased. The clerk will type up the marriage license for you and ask if you have two witnesses. If not, two court clerks will witness the marriage for you. Most Judges do not have a set rate...$50 or $100 should be enough to pay him or her for their services. Congratulations and good luck!

That depends on what state you're in. Simply call City Hall and ask them. They can tell you exactly what you need to bring, and may even be able to suggest the best time of day to come in (so you won't have to wait long)

Marriage license and a clear idea of what marriage is all about. Are you willing to be faithful only to her and are you willing to take care of her for the rest of your life, even with she starts to sag? Think about this before you commit your life to her.
