I just got lots of used track that I am using for a large digital layout that is really dirty. How should I do it?

If it dusty, use compressed air to blow off the dust. If the tracks have a build up on them, I have used an eraser to remove it, and a q-tip with alcohol to remove the stuff from the tight areas.

You can buy specialized track cleaner. It'll have instructions on the bottle, but basically you rub it on with a clean dry cloth.

Alcohol on the rails

Soak them in soapy water for the ties then use the alcohol on the rails.

Use rubbing alcohal, tooth brush would clean it up well. If not, just use ordinary cleaning solution.
