im over a week late with my period, but for the last 4 days if been cramping. i toke a test and im not pregnant. could i be ovulating late or have an ovarian cyst?

More than likely, if you are only a week late for your period, then a home Pregnancy test will not be accurate. If you are pregnant, your Hcg count is not high enough to be detected by urine analysis. I would give it another 2 weeks, if you still have not had your period, Do another home test, this will make you about 5 weeks pregnant if your calculations of currently being a week late are accurate. By this time a home pregnancy test should reveal if you are pregnant or not pretty accurately. If it is still negative, I would go to your OB/GYN and request a blood analysis. More than likely they will go ahead and do a pap anyway just to rule out cysts.

Ok... Womens cycles can change, If you have recently started hanging out with new girl friends or if you have many female coworkers, your periods will become insync with eachother causing you both to be either a little early or a little late. Its totally common and isnt a big deal. I wouldnt worry about it, If you are getting the cramps then you are in the beginning stages of your period starting.

Yes you could have a cyst. If it doesnot feel better or you do not start your period in 3 more days, call your Gyne.

Probably just having a bad month, if you are really worried you should go see a doctor.
