As above but don't use soft wood it will probably break.
Alternativly you may find an old cheap bench to rob the slats from in local adds or Auction's.

I haven't seen replacement slats, per ce, but you could use a 1" x 3" or 4". You may have to run a little sandpaper on the edges to round them off if they are uncomfortable or unsightly.

You could try Homebase, B&Q or Wicks.
Not sure if you can buy ready made but all of the above will sell timber that is suitalbe for your purpose.
Make sure you buy hardwood, as this will certainly be best.
You may have to cut and trim to suit.
