Most of those answers are hilarious! I am not weak-minded because I am aware of the dangers that come as a result or are related to the aforementioned things and am strong enough, mentally to avoid them.

I am sure you know smart people that do this stuff, so why are their backbones so weak? I am quite simply saying that I am smart enough to know the risks and avoid them. I am also smart enough to avoid peer pressure.

And to the dope who said he makes more money than I, selling crack isn't a profession, you jackass!!!

In what way or those people weak-minded?

I think when you get addicted to anything.. regardless of what the addiction is.. it's not weak-minded..

If you're speaking of persons who get addicted to substances.. those substances change that person.. the chemicals alter them and it has nothing at all to do with the mind.. Try doing some volunteer work at a local rehab facilty and see what happens when someone comes off of crack/cocaine/heroin/drinking ect.
They have to be hospitalized because it honestly could kill them.

I'm sure that if you took the time to do a little research you would find that throughout history the people that contributed the most to society did a lot more then smoke, drink, and debauch.

Who have you been hanging around with...stupid people? Many famous people have had these habits including our esteemed President Bush who is a drinker. Then there is F Scott Fitzgerald, Hemingway, TS Eliot Edgar Allen Poe etc etc. A habit is a habit, has nothing to do with intelligence level. It has more to do with personal choice. Clinton is a Rhodes scholar....and so on and so on This has nothing to do with weak minds, just personal choice. Do you have any habits?

Well, I'll be sure to remember to ask that of the physicist I sit outside with for lunch. We always have a cigarette together while we talk about the possible agreement between science and the Bible, or whether or not gravity really affects time... weak minded... you're an idiot.

Speak for yourself. I'm a total debaucher and I'm not weak-minded at all.

Plus I know a lot of weak-minded people who have never abused any substance in their entire lives.

well, to make you feel like you are wonderful of course. This way you can feel as if you are "better" than these poor saps who for one reason or another have found themselves (gasp) addicted because of their "weak minds" Perhaps you should take a course in becoming more sensitive, kind and empathetic before you go shooting your mouth off about everyone else's shortcomings.

Well, are you aware that there is an actual gene that pre-disposes people to addiction? It's called the A1 gene (scientifically proven, by the way)...maybe you should worry less about other people and worry about why YOU are so weak-minded that you cannot understand other people's pain.

What's your excuse? This is a pretty stupid question.

It's not "weak-minded" to do something because you enjoy it. It's weak-minded to allow your enjoyments to become crutches. You can slink through life never experiencing or enjoying anything because you're afraid, or you can dive in over your own head and become dependent and enslaved - but the best people know how to take what they want from life, enjoy everything - including the things you consider "debauchery" - and remain free and self-sufficient.

i am a smoker and i smoke because i like to. i enjoy the feeling of a cigarette in my hand and i like the taste of it in my mouth. if i wanted to quit i would. it's legal so why dont you find something else to ***** about. i am so tired of hearing this crap. this is a free country and i have every right to light a cig if i want to. im not blowing it in your face or making you smoke it so just leave me alone ok? oh and by the way, i am quite competent and intelligent, smoking has nothing to do with that and neither does drinking.

Overgeneralized statement here, my friend. You may want to revise. With that being said, you are merely assuming people who do these things are weak. People are controllers of their own lives and will destroy or nurture them as they see fit. You and I are in no place to judge as we are all *** ups every now and again.
