it is never right to lie and a resume, and if you are hired, lying on your resume is grounds for dismissal

It's never right to lie! It can be grounds for dismissal if discovered after you're hired. If it's discovered before you're hired, then you'll not be hired (it's very likely that the lie will follow you wherever you go!) False representation of oneself is always a bad idea! If you can do the job, just say that (without lying!). If you can do the job, but can't be persuasive without lying, then you need help, BIG TIME!!!! The truth will always be found out & discovered, so it's best not to lie in the first place (remember the old adage: Honesty is the best policy! [it's true!!!!])

No it is never okay. You are listing your experience and even if you are hired, you must prove your experience by performance of the job. Also, chances are an employer will check and verify your information, being caught lying is cause for immediate termination.

Be honest with yourself and on the resume to find the best job suited for you. Many employers will hire a person with less experience as long as they have an enthusiastic attitude and willingness to learn.

Good luck.

Nope. It's immoral. But, not only that, you gotta be prepared when they start digging and asking you all kinds of questions in your interview. It's WAY better & easier to answer with the truth than to try to think of your many lies to back up what's written on your resume.

No. A lie, no matter how little, will entangle you one day, and may destroy all you have laboured for over the years. A little undeserved advantage today may constitute a huge disadvantage tomorrow. Be yourself, not more, not less.

You'd better be able to support ANY thing included on your resume. If they find out after you are hired you could be fired.

Of course! Every bit counts to get your foot in the door over the competition. Squeeky wheel gets the grease all the time.
