Sorry, never heard of an oil miner. As far as drilling for oil. It's sorta like driving a truck-it goes from not much to really good money. There are several jobs on a drilling rig. Driller is the top down to roughneck/roustabout. You should make 24,000 to 30,000 a year starting out. BUT it's hard to get a job because it pays very well for someone who has no education/experience, and usually ends up going to someone known by someone already working on the rig.
