haha

knowledge of the world increases every year, and so does ignorance. It's true to a degree. But we've all become specialists, so it isn't true that we are completely blithe naives. Instead, we're disciplined to be VERY knowledgeable about some domain that of course can't reign over all the others.

We're all very knowledgeable (in some area(s)) and likewise very ignorant. For the adage to hold, I'm sure all knowledge must be reduced out; since any special knowledge in an arena leads to an understanding of politics and corruption.

Though there's a sense in which peopl truly gain happiness by their non-inclusion in the various sectors of knowledge. If we were compelled to know all the territory of law, medicine, business management -- innumerable specialties, we would be overwhelmed and quite miserable by the endless research. That we may learn only a few things quite intently may be a bune afterall.

yay for ignorance.

Ignorance isn't bliss - this is a concept propounded by poets and philosophers, and is more of a metaphysical point of debate (see Ode to a Nightingale by Keats). Many people nowadays are brought up to not be content with what they have, as they follow a culture of commercialism and advertising, which thrives on telling discontent people that they have the perfect product to fill that gaping void in their life.

Personally, I'm educated, knowledgeable, and happy.

The phrase should be rewritten as "Total ignorance is bliss", because even if we are very smart we still want more. The sad thing is, the more you learn, the more you realize you don't know anything. You all know that phrase, am I right?

I don't know about more people, but I know my sister's family is. They live in their own little bubble for which the rest of the world revolves around.
