Of course I still remember Kurt Cobain. I will NEVER forget him. He was and still is a major and defining element of my life. Most days I listen to Nirvana and feel joy but every once in a while the realization that such a beautiful person, the person that I am listening to his intense voice, is no longer alive. Those moments of realization are hard. It has been twelve years and it has not become any easier. Regardless Kurt is great and should always be remembered by the fans that he touched.

Kurt Cobain made some great music, and it is still enjoyed often. I just listened to Lithium at work. Nirvana still rocks!
I do wish he had been able to survive his mental illness, though. His daughter and his fans deserved much more.

Although I hated Nirvana... (Im a Pearl Jam Fan) I dont think anyone deserves to go through what he had to go through. Nothing should end the way his life did. Its a tragedy, and remains one of the biggest tragedys in music, simply for the fact that he and the band were such an influence to the music world. At least Dave Grohl has kept moving forward with his music since Nirvana disolved. You can still hear some influence from Kurt in Dave's music.

Of course. He left an indelible mark on music. Great music and great passion. There was some amazing stuff on the box set. Check out "Do Re Mi" if you think you know Nirvana.

How could you forget him!
The music is as good today as it was when it first came out.
The music is depressing but not because hes dead...he was just a depressing guy who knew how to express himself.
Duncan B why on earth is it a bad thing that young kids want to open their minds to some truly classic rock music rather than gleefully accept what MTV shovels down their throats?

It really sucks when you ask someone if they knew who kc was and they answer no. He's a musical legend and everybody should know who he is. i'm glad they still play some nirvana songs on the radio.

I remember him on MTV Unplugged with his knitted pullover .. I do like their songs but I feel most of their songs should be sold with a warning ' Music enclosed may cause depression. Hear with caution'

they were great, but honestly, i hate to turn on the radio and still hear Nirvana songs all the time. its annoying. this next generation of kids are going backwards musically. besides all the Panic! at the Gay Bar and those bands, all my little brother and his friends are going back to like, Ozzy, Sabbath, Nirvana, idk i find it a little, distasteful? but Cobain was an awesome musician and lyricist. hes still missed by millions to this day.
