Bare bottomed spanking was the order of the day when I was growing up...what about you? How do you feel about it now?

a spanking you bet your bottom dollar, I was raised on an old fashioned *** whooping....as for using that on my kids, yup
to get there attention...that's why its great to have extra cans

well I don't believe in it. From my past experiences. I was spanked by my father with his hand and a belt when someone else did something wrong and I didn't tell on them. Weird isn't it. No matter what your child does your are to love them unconditionally. I believe communication is a big thing which alot of familys don't have that . That is why there is so much abuse and have seen alot of it. Mental and physical. There is no reason to physically harm a child. We choose to give them life they didn't ask for it. We should talk to them and try to figure out why they do or done what they did, and figure out the right discipline. Physical and mental harm is just anger of things people haven't solved in their lifes I believe so it is taken out on the children.Communication and love can go along way with kids. But who they hang with really can effect them. Show them what is right and wrong and love them.

Back then I was spanked too and had my share of time outs. then I thought it was crazy and I thought my parents were evil but as I now have a 4 yr old I say spank on...
of course I don't do it all the time sometimes just taking away his thomas toys are enough to snap him into shape of course you have to know my son,he is a thomas freak,it's like his oxygen or something lol.

i believe in spanking also,why on earth have we gotten away from that???what is our society coming to when we cannot do what we feel is best for our own children???and i'm not talking about beatings,just using your own good judgement!!!i NEVER got a barebottomed spanking because i knew if i did something wrong,that's what was coming to me,fear of that was all i needed to keep me from doing something i knew was wrong!!!

No my dad used a belt and thrashed wherever it landed. Face, arms, legs, a*ss, didn't matter to him. The more visible the better I think. Its not like people cared back then.

I didn't get many spankings...I was well-behaved...and didn't get caught when I wasn't.
