you didn't know what you wanted, and after time has passed you realized they are what you have been searching for but it is too late and can't get them off your mind and wish you could start it all over again? Talking about run-on sentences.

Yep, and it's not a good feeling.

No, but if I ever did, I would tell them the situation and make sure they know that I am hurt over leaving them, but that I don't know what I want. Also, I'd be sure to, as I said, make sure I tell them that I'm hurt, and mention something like, "I am hurt, I just don't know what I want, down the road would you still want to be with me when I get this mess cleared up?" Also, I'd tell them to not wait around, though, because, as mentioned before, I don't know what I want and don't want to keep them waiting.

There had to be a reason besides 'you didn't know what you wanted'. Maybe you should sit down and think about that. You are the only one who knows why you did what you did; maybe there was a very valid reason that you are blocking out. Good luck!!

My boyfriend did that to me last January and when he realized what he did begged me back. It took 2 months but I took him back thinking that he was serious this time. I mentioned marriage last Tuesday and by Friday he had moved his stuff out of my apartment.

Yes I have. And then when I got him back I eventually remembered why I originally left and left a second time!

OH...you're referring to the old, "I'm not ready for a serious relationship" thing; you go off and do what you want thinking the grass is greener and find out it's not? Hummm....tough luck sucker. Glad the other person moved on without you.

I think that happens all the time. You just hope that no one else has snatched them up by now, realizing how great they are before you did.
