You could try introducing texture very slowly - one tip is to stir grated apple into a smooth base like yogurt. Lots of babies are not happy about moving on to lumpy foods from purees. Then just stick with what works. Most doctors say that nutritionally babies don't really need anything other than formula or breastmilk for the first year of their life anyway...even though most of us commonly start our kids on solids by 6 months. Give him some time and he will probably develop a "taste" for other textures. My daughter hated the stage 3 jar foods because it mixed lumpy food with the pureed food. She just wanted one or the other...So it was either smooth jar food or real table food...we completely skipped the stage 3 jar foods.

Yeah, my twins are not big fans of the Stage 3 Gerber baby foods. They do like stage one and stage two. But you know what, my hubby and I just found this awesome baby food called Earth's Best. They are soups for babies and our twins love then.

Babies R Us sells them and I am sure your local grocery store does as well. Here is the Earth's Best website.

Hope this helps you..

Have you tried Gerber poofs? They dissolve right in your mouth so there isn't much chewing. It is really good for the younger babies that are just learning to chew. Also they make mesh bags that you can put food in like banana's. It teaches the babies to chew. Here is the link.
