In the 70's, George Armstrong (aka "Chief") was captain of my favourite hockey team - the Toronto Maple Leafs and they even won the Stanley Cup at that time! Right now, Cheechoo is my fave.....last seasons Maurice Rocket Richard trophy winner!!

Habitant, you are SO knowledgeable. I must correct myself - Mr. Armstrong was the last captain of the Leafs to hoist that Cup over his head - am I right?

I'm too young to have watched Mr. Armstrong play. Jordan Tootoo used to be my favourite until he got sent down to the minors, but Cheechoo is now making some heads turn.
Go Leafs.

the Chief played with Toronto Maple Leafs from 1949-50 season till he retired in 1970-71 season career stats: 1187 games 296 goals 417 assists 713 pts. yes Cheechoo is a really good young player. and as coach you have Ted Nolan is a great coach he won the Jack Adams trophy back with Buffalo but Hasek got him fired and he also coached his Junior team to the Memorial cup. he will do as good as he can with the Islanders but i don't see a long future in NY, cause this team is not going anywhere if Garth Snow is there and Wong ar Wang let's him do as he please.
GO HABS GO!!!!!!!!!!

i imagine you're asking in the incorrect position. favourite human beings isn't in a position to guage who's an outstanding participant, you ought to ask yet another NHL professional. yet gamers like Mario Lemieux, Wayne Gretzky, Nicklas Lidström, Paul Coffey, Dominik Hasek, Jaromir Jagr and others are truly well-liked, mythical even, and those days there have been some truly solid, youthful gamers growing to be. between those i might want to say Ovechkin and Sidney Crosby between the trophies presented end of season is one I evaluate of exceptionally enormous fee, the NHLPA, NHL- gamers' association, hands it out with the call "Lester B. Pearson Award". administration skills are of severe fee besides. in my opinion and not in any respect professionally i might want to say %. any well known Swede... a united states of a trifling 8 million human beings having that many properly well-known, properly reputated NHL gamers.
