I love being in college because I got into one of the most prestigious university in the U.S. and I got a chance to make tons of amazing friends and meet new people with interesting views on life. And of course partying and living the college kids life. Also because my parents are paying my tuition so i have no debts.

However, I hate STUDYING!!!! Tests, projects, midterms....all nighters studying....my gosh, im busting my butt to graduate!!! But I've always been taught by my parents that graduating from college is something I have to do to live a successful life like my parents.

Is anyone else in a love/hate relationship??

P.S. i just took a midterm earlier this morning, hopefully I got a good grade!!

Me too... I am one semester away from getting my associates and CANT wait to take a break before going back for my Bachelor's. But trust me, all the hard work is so worth it. I am 22 years old and dropped out of college at 18. I spent a couple of years being a waitress and realized that life without a degree sucks so bad. I was struggling to pay my bills every month! WHen I got pregnant with my daughter, I decided to go back, and am so happy I did. I am pregnant with my second child now, and there is no way I could support a family with a high school diploma.
Oh yeah, good luch on your midterm grade!

Congratulations on being in college. It is a wonderful and exciting time in anyone's life who is able to participate. Studying is the number one priority, so your parents are correct. I know that all the socializing is fun also, especially being away from home and making your own decisions. Busting your butt in college is great preparation for the rest of your life. Just make sure that you are balancing your life and not spending an excessive amount of time socializing and partying; or that will affect your grades in a negative fashion. Have fun and best of luck with your work, your parents must be so proud of you! Have a great day!
