Hi:

I would suggest that you look at books first. Brock, Pelczar, Tortora, and any of the basic Microbiology books will give you the info. Hey, just remembered that Prescott is a good start.

BTW, E. coli is not a finicky guy and will grow on any basic media like nutrient agar or LB agar. Selective media for E. coli includes EMB agar.
N. sicca is fastidious and chocolate agar is routinely used for it's cultivation.
