If you're offline for awhile...how do you post a message to all friend when your not on your own pc?

I had a computer glitch last week and on top of that I'm moving..so, I have not been online on my pc in a while. I want to let my friends know that my absence although long, is temporary

If you use a webmail based email account such as Yahoo or Hotmail, then you can log in on any computer and send them an email.
